A 46-year-old Calhoun County man won $1 million playing the Michigan Lottery’s Millionaire Maker instant game after buying a ticket at Lakeview Liquor in Battle Creek. “When I saw it was a $1 million winner, I freaked out! It feels like I can breathe again,” said the man, who chose to remain anonymous. He opted to receive a lump-sum payment of about $693,000 and plans to buy a new car and save the rest.
